2010 Formats & Prices (starting February 1, 2010)

Welcome to your sneak peek of our planned options and prices for Tapestry purchasers in 2010! We are so grateful to God for the completion of our Redesigned curriculum, and happy to be able to offer you a choice of three distinct formats.

Classic to Redesign Classic to Redesign

If you have purchased any Classic year-plan (or individual Classic units) directly from us, we have in the past offered a half-price (50%-off) discount on an upgrade to the corresponding year plan (or units) in Redesigned. As we go forward with the new, on-demand printing method, we are not able to extend the half-price discount to include the printed portions of curriculum purchases.

Our half-price upgrade offer is still extended to the DE format of Tapestry (a savings of $85). We have decided to offer the same $85 savings to Print/DE packages and to Print Only format.

NOTE: This offer applies only to Classic users who are upgrading to Redesigned Tapestry of Grace. It is different from our Print-and-DE upgrade (for those who have Redesigned curriculum in print and want to add Redesigned DE). See details of that offer here.)

Searchable Searchable

The “search” feature of your DE Tapestry of Grace (and supplements) allows you to type a word or phrase into a search box. Depending on how you want to view your information, your computer will highlight every instance of that word or phrase that appears in your document. You can toggle through these instances by clicking "next" on the searchbox. You can also bring them up in a concordance-like fashion so that you see an entire list of all instances of your search items.

For Teacher's Notes in particular, the search feature can be very helpful when you are looking for a particular portion, or for portions you’ve gone over in the past and want to review. No flipping through pages or trying to either remember where you saw it or figure out if it’s upcoming; the search feature does the work for you and saves you valuable time.

Printable Printable

Pre-printed pages can get lost, spilled on, marked up by you (or your toddler) or eaten by the dog. With all Tapestry formats (Print and DE), the consumable pages of the Student Activity Pages and Supplements are printable from the Loom.

Only with Digital Edition formats is every single page of Tapestry printable at home. With DE Tapestry you have convenience and security: you can easily give copies of any Tapestry products to multiple children, or replace any pages that meet an untimely demise.

Fully Updated Fully Updated

All of our Tapestry customers, regardless of the format you select, have access to our Book Updates Chart, which gives necessary information about out-of-print book replacements and corresponding new worksheets when needed. These are the only truly necessary updates. However, one of the advantages of DE is the ongoing right to free upgrades.

These range from simple typographical corrections to brand new interfaces with interactive tools to ongoing current history additions at the end of Year 4. These updates are always free and always optional for DE formats, and are accessed either as downloads or (for a small shipping fee) installation CDs (necessary only for dial-up customers).

Paper Copy Paper Copy

Some folks love the simplicity of a computer program (and the lack of bulky piles of paper). Others take their Teacher's Notes to read in bed (and are unhappy reading from the monitor). Some love the features of both! Whatever your preference, we have an option available.

You just choose if you want the good old-fashioned paper-and-ink Tapestry pages as part of your purchase, or want to work only with electrons.

Resale Option Resale Option

Digital Edition (DE) products are licensed for one family only, and that family gets to use it for all of eternity (or until their school years end, whichever comes first). DE products cannot be given or resold to another family because of industry-standard software (or ebook) copyright reasons. If being able to resell your copy of Tapestry products once you're done is important to you, you need to choose the print-only format.

The paper copy of the curriculum that comes as part of the DE & Print option is not resalable, because it's purely a paper-and-ink copy (that we are happy to permit for your convenience) of your DE Tapestry license.

Free Shipping Free Shipping

One of the advantages of DE is that with high-speed internet, you get free shipping! Downloading is free, so there's no charge unless you request an installation CD (necessary only for dial-up). With any option that includes printed pages, you'll need to take shipping charges into consideration.

Depending on the shipping speed you want, shipping prices range from about $6 - $20 for US customers. Next Day and International Shipping is usually around $30 - $70.

System Requirements System Requirements

DE products require certain computer operating systems, so make sure you check your computer for compatibility before purchasing. While the print-only format mostly requires only a sturdy coffee table or bookshelf,


because of the optional printing needs of certain Loom documents and some workpages, you'll need access of some kind to a printer in order to fully utilize any of the three Tapestry formats.
