Lampstand Press began accepting pre-orders for Tapestry of Grace Year 1 Redesigned as of March 1st, 2006. Our desire is to keep this process as simple and efficient as possible in order to avoid confusion and delays. Please note that our STRONG recommendation is that those using Year 1 Redesigned plan to start their school year in late August. Though our schedule above bodes well for those who start early, the production schedule will slow after the summer, as our part-time staff returns to school commitments; thus Phase 5 and Phase 6 may be moved into 2007. We are only promising to have the curriculum available for those following a traditional school schedule: late August of 2006 to early June of 2007. We are dependent on your prayers and God's grace for even this promise to be fulfilled! In making an order for Tapestry Year 1 Redesigned, you, the customer, assume a small amount of risk. We will do our best before God to realize your order well and on time, but we are not in control of all things and we fear God. Therefore, in making your Year 1 Redesigned order, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Each Year
1 Redesigned order will be processed within 24-48 hours of
being placed. Depending on the current phase, all in-stock
items will be shipped immediately. (You will receive the
items in the current phase [reflected in the calendar above] and
all items listed in previous phases.) The remaining items will
be placed on backorder and will be shipped as soon as they become
available. Customers will be
charged for the full amount of the order at the time of the
initial shipment. All orders (and backorders)
should arrive at the latest* within two weeks of the announced
shipping date**. If
your order does not arrive within the expected timeframe,
please contact Lampstand Press concerning the matter and in order
to verify that we have the correct shipping information.
Phase
1 - Prior to the
release of the revised reading lists: A letter of receipt for
your order of the reading lists and Units 1-4 will be sent
via 1st Class US Mail to the shipping address on the order.
Phase
2 - Release of the
revised reading lists up to the release of Unit 1: A letter
of receipt for your order of Units 1-4 will be included with
working reading lists for all 36 weeks of your Year-Plan in full
color. Also included is our full-color 32-page brochure, and
introductory DVD, and our 12-page Bookshelf order form. This packet will be sent to the shipping
address on the order.

Phase 3
- Release of Unit 1 up to the release of Unit 2: A
letter of receipt for your order of Units 2-4 and black/white
working copies of reading charts for Units 2-4 will be
included with the Phase 2 items and Unit 1. This package
will be sent to the shipping address on the order. If
you ordered Year 1 Redesigned tab sets, they will be sent at
this time.
Phase 4
- Release of Unit 2 up to the release of Unit 3: A
letter of receipt for your order of Units 3-4 and
black/white copies of working reading charts for Units 3-4 will be
included with Phases 2-3 items and Unit 2. This
package will be sent to the shipping address on the order.
Phase 5
- Release of Unit 3 up to the release of Unit 4: A
letter of receipt for your order of Unit 4 and black/white
copies of working reading charts for Units 2-4will be included
with the Phases 2-4 items and Unit 3. This package will be
sent to the shipping address on the order.
Phase 6
- Release of Unit 4: The complete Year 1 will
be sent to the shipping address on the order, accompanied
by our 32-page brochure, Bookshelf order form, and introductory
DVD.
*This
shipping time calculation does not apply to orders destined for
Hawaii, Alaska, or any international orders. Please
contact Lampstand Press for specific shipping quotes.
**Announcements
concerning new phases (i.e. the shipping of newly finished
units) will be made on our website, via our monthly email
update, and the "News" forum on our online bulletin
board. (You must sign up on our "Tapestry
In Depth" home page in order to receive monthly email
updates.) It is the customer's responsibility to keep
abreast of release dates through these resources, and to notify
Lampstand Press if orders are not received within time frames
outlined above.

General Overview of the Redesign of Tapestry of Grace:
Our plan is to update at
least one Year-Plan per year for the next four years, and we may be able
to go faster than this conservative estimate. Because we know that
people will be understandably disappointed if they happen to be in the
portion of the historical cycle that dictates that they buy, say, Year 2
next year, even though they anticipate a fresh, new Year 2 to be released
the year after they need it, and because we are so grateful to all those
people who have supported us in previous years by buying and using
Tapestry of Grace, we are going to offer a special deal.
o
We will be posting on the
Internet a coupon for each Year-Plan as we produce it that will allow those who have a copy of Classic
Tapestry of Grace to upgrade to Tapestry Redesigned for a discount: 50%
off the cover price (which we estimate will not change: $150/Year-Plan).
o There will be three options to using the coupon. Because we need to honor royalty agreements with authors who have contributed to the program, we can only offer this discount to current Tapestry owners, but it doesn't matter if you bought your Classic Tapestry directly from us (Lampstand Press) or used from someone else. You can still get the discount. Here are the three options:
One: whether you bought your volume from us or someone else, if you will send us your volume of Classic Tapestry and our coupon (we will soon link it here for downloading and printing), and we will send you your Tapestry Revised for 50% off.
Two: if you bought your volume from Lampstand Press and you love your Classic Tapestry volume because you've written many important notes to yourself all over its pages, keep it! All we ask is that you promise never to resell it (again, for royalty agreement purposes). Our coupon will contain the following release form for you to sign: "In consideration for a substantial discount on the price of a Redesigned copy of Tapestry of Grace, Year ___, I hereby agree that I will not give, sell, rent or loan my existing copy to any other person." Sign it, return it, and we'll send you your minty-fresh copy of Tapestry Redesigned for 50% off, trusting you to never part with your Classic Tapestry volume (except via the trash can).
Three: if you bought your volume used (not from us) and you love your Classic Tapestry volume because you've written many important notes to yourself all over its pages, you'll need to verify for us that you do, indeed, own a full Classic Tapestry Year-Plan. You must sign the coupon agreement ("In consideration for a substantial discount on the price of a Redesigned copy of Tapestry of Grace, Year ___, I hereby agree that I will not give, sell, rent or loan my existing copy to any other person") and send with it the 36 first pages of the Student Activity Pages (blue--one from each week-plan). We will stamp each of these 36 pages with a "not for resale" stamp, and return them with your new Tapestry Redesigned copy for 50% off.
If you sign our coupon agreement, please honor our trust and your word before God by never allowing another family to use your Classic Tapestry volume. We are seeking to bless former customers and supportive users, and we cannot afford to give you a discount and pay full royalties to those we morally owe if two copies of their work are in circulation simultaneously.
There will be no time limit attached to the coupon. You may upgrade
from Classic to Redesigned versions at any time.

Evaluations disks are
ongoing project. We plan to
release the Evaluations 1 disk for the fall of 2006 as well, and will be
offering Year 2 Evaluations to beta testers then as well.

Terri Johnson is nearing
completion of the Year 3 MapAids disk, and she prayerfully expects to
finish MapAids 4 by the start of the 2006-7 school year.
In all these plans, we are dependent on your prayers and general support. Tapestry Redesigned will take thousands of man-hours, and much grace to complete. We could be daunted when we look at the enormity of the task. We are instead filled with faith in these plans because we know you, and are grateful to God for the ways we have partnered in the gospel up until now. Sign-ups are ongoing for Tapestry
Teas!
It's
not too late to sign up to hostess one of our Tapestry Teas. Here's a full explanation of this exciting
opportunity, so you can be prayerfully
considering participation.
As you know, Tapestry is a fairly new curriculum. Our focus for
2006, now that the program in its kernel form is complete, is to get the
word out so that busy moms can find the help they may need in our
program. Many of you have eagerly and graciously offered to promote Tapestry
in your local groups or at state conventions, and we are very grateful for
your support!
Over the years, we have developed a fairly sophisticated system for large
conventions but,
over and over, we have gotten requests for materials our customers can use
in
their homes to present the benefits of Tapestry to friends and
neighbors, perhaps even with an eye towards forming local co-ops in their areas.
In answer to these requests, we have developed what we believe is an easy and pleasant system for you who
desire to share in a small group setting, probably in your homes but
possibly also in your local support groups. We are calling this system
"Tapestry Teas."
The idea is that you invite a group of 5-10 moms to your home for
tea. If you contact Yvonne

Lampstand Press would be happy to send you, free of charge,
a Tapestry Teas kit.
After breaking the ice and pouring the tea, our idea is that you'll turn
on your TV and play the video, which relieves you of all need to work up
any specific presentation of Tapestry on your own. After the DVD is
done, you'll show samples
of the curriculum, the books, the Writing Assignments-- whatever you have
in your home from the past year's work (or perhaps just the curriculum
you've purchased for next year). You can use the brochures to explain
finer details, answer questions, etc.
After a bit, you'll give the guests
order forms and either collect orders
there or send them home with the brochure to think/mull/talk to hubbies. Any order form that
comes in with your name on it (within one month from your Tea), or any
Internet order placed by someone registered with Lampstand Press on your
guest list, will gain you a $5.00 credit with Lampstand
Press. If you sell 10 Year-Plans, we can offer you a FREE
Year-Plan! You can use Lampstand Press credit to purchase curriculum, Reproducibles
disks, or new products (like the new MapAids CDs or future book list
revisions) as they come out.

You must give us at least 2 weeks' lead time to get the kit into your
hands! The kit
is FREE, and includes:
- 1-hour DVD featuring Scott and Marcia Somerville and veteran Tapestry parents and students explaining the program to your guests
- 32-page brochures (as many as you need, but we need a expected guest total from you)
- Copies of our price-list (we will send as many as you need to give one to each guest)
- Post card invitations to mail to your guests (again, we need a number from you)
- Helpful guide to planning your Tea
