Setting up Tapestry in 5 simple steps
It’s time to open the shrink-wrap and see just what Tapestry of Grace has to offer you and your family!
Open the shrinkwrap!
Open your unit(s) and place them into binders. We recommend one 1.5" to 2” binder per unit (size depends on the unit). Many moms choose to use this binder for their full unit and a smaller binder or folder for the week they’re currently studying. If you bought our custom Tab Set, insert the tabs between the week-plans.
Check out the Loom
Familiarize yourself with the contents of the Loom CD. If your year-plan is being redesigned this year, access your Loom online throughout the year and the CD will be automatically shipped to you after the year-plan redesign has been completed.
Browse supplementary products
If you bought supplementary projects, like Writing Aids or MapAids, take time to open and peruse them, so that you will understand references to them in this guide and in your curriculum.
Register as a Together member
You will want to become a member of Together, our online community, so that you can access our Forums, which are a great way to get other moms’ answers to any questions you may have as you begin to use Tapestry. Additionally, if you have pre-ordered any in-production CD products, this Together membership allows us to grant you access to the temporary online versions of these products. Sign-up is free, quick, and easy at www.lampstandpress.com/together.
Start gathering resources
You will need to purchase or borrow books (listed in the Reading Assignment Charts) for your children’s studies. Our online bookstore, the Bookshelf, sells all the primary books you’ll need at competitive prices. We strongly recommend that you purchase books one unit at a time for all students in your home. This way, if students advance more quickly or slowly than expected, you will not have purchased books that are not ideal for your student. Our Bookshelf discounts are ideal for this purchasing plan, so plan to visit us soon at www.lampstandpress.com/bookshelf.
