I don't know if this is the right place for a question like this but I am looking for a good wholesome magazine to give a subscription to my daughter for her 10th birthday. The subject matter doesn't make much difference (literature, science, history whatever she just loves to read anythng)I looked at Cricket after a friend recommended it but I was concerned about revisionist history and evalutionary science. I looked at the literature one and I wasn't impressed with the moral of the story they had given for a sample. There must be something trustworthy out there for a girl her age. Anyone?

Some sugg.:
Pockets, by the Upper Room
Clubhouse, Focus on the Family
Just 4 Kids, an online mag.
When she's a little older, Focus on the Family also has Brio, which my daughter liked as well.
Hope this helps!

My children (ages 10, 8 and 7) have always enjoyed Nature Friend Magazine. There are really fascinating articles that we all enjoy, puzzles, a section on learning to draw animals & flowers etc..., great ideas for science projects (with supplies we have in the house!), craft project suggestions, riddles, and I'm sure there is more but you get the idea. It is a very wholesome magazine with the purpose of glorifying God as the Creator, along with being interesting and enjoyable--I think it would be a blessing for you daughter. Here is the website where you can order it if you are interested : www.workshopplus.com (http://www.workshopplus.com). The website is actually for Nature's Workshop ( which has some really neat stuff too http://tapestryofgrace.groupee.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif), but you order the magazine through their website. I hope this is helpful!
