New to TOG from California

Hello everyone I am a newbie to homeschooling and TOG. I have been homeschooling my soon to be 12 year old daughter for about four months now, spending too much money on curriculum trying a lot of different things out. We came out of the traditional school system and thought traditional was the way to go, it was for a little while, we felt comfortable. After A LOT of reading and research I see that my little "wiggly willy" needs more and so do I, homeschooling is such a blessing from God and I am so excited to be able to get her interested in learning and enjoying it at the same time. I have spent a lot of time on the TOG website and fell in love. I am feeling a little anxiety about all the choices, however, I believe that they will come in very handy for our learning experience now and in years to come.
A little about me I am a wife to a wonderful man! A Mom of soon to be four, I am due in December. I have Kayla who is 11, Ryan who is 2 and a half, and my youngest Ashlynn who has just turned 1. I look forward to the days of homeschooling my little ones!

I am homeschooling 4kids here in So. Ca. We have a very casual park day set up of TOG families, casual in that attendance goes up and down depending on how busy everyone is. We are in Orange County, are you near us?

I started out very traditional too, but it wasn't a good fit for us, tho I've spent many years running back to that way of teaching. We are enjoying TOG very much, this is our first year with it.

I am in Riverside, how often do you get together?

I am also part of the Orange County TOG group. I started using TOG this year. We meet on some Mondays at a park in Anaheim Hills. We are all quite busy (as you know). Therefore, attendance fluctuates. Let us know if you are interested.
