With 4 months of this school year remaining, we are finishing up Year 1 Unit 4 next week. Looking forward it seems we can either condense Year 2 (is that possible? suggested? if so, how?) in effort to complete it in the 18 weeks we have remaining until June '11 OR try to stretch Year 2 over the next 4 months of this 'school year' & throughout our 2011-12 'school year'. Otherwise, we'd be finishing up Year 2 about this time next year & be in the same boat,no?
Our ToGgers are soon to be 14 year old son, soon to be 12 year old soon, almost 10 year old daughter & 7 year old son.
I really appreciate any/all feedback & suggestions from everyone -- especailly those who've gone through these years at the levels I'm working with.
THANKS!

A broader way to do this is to look all the material in the next three years and then remove the extra weeks to end Year Four at the end of the school year. If you did it this way then you'd probably only have to remove 6 weeks from each of the next year plans rather than almost 18 weeks (or more) from Year 2.

With younger students there are some topics that could easily wait until they were older.

I definitely do not see how it is possible to condense Year 2. It is a VAST amount of information-honestly, a lot of people are stretching it over two years, not the other way around! :-)
