New to TOG, question about resource book

Hello,
I am a hs'ing mom of 6 and we are preparing to make our switch to TOG in the next couple weeks. I bought Yr. 2, Unit 3 (as that it where we are in the cycle of history) and have a question about one of the resource books. I ran across someone selling a copy of Dangerous Journey on DVD as a TOG D level resource for this unit. I am wondering if the DVD would work instead of the book, or should I find the book?

Hi Katie,
I've never seen the movie to give you a good commentary. So sorry! However, anytime you are working on a tight budget (either money or time), you should feel free to substitute movies so that at least you are providing exposure. Of course, if neither of these are an issue in a given week, it's better to read the book(s).

The movie Dangerous Journey (as long as it is not about the Dog and truly about Pilgrim http://tapestryofgrace.groupee.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif) is exactly the same as the book. It is an older movie so its just the pages of the book and someone reading it. I have owned both for several years http://tapestryofgrace.groupee.net/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.
