I just wanted to share a find with all of you. I have two children that like to "play" on the computer, so I decided to see if there was a good program for them to use to help build their timelines on the computer. I ran across a program called SmartDraw. It has some wonderful templates to get them started. Once the timeline is completed at the end of the year, we can print it and place it in our notebooks. The program is a bit pricey, but I think it will be worth it if it will bring a little fun into the equation of building the timeline. You can purchase it through AcademicSuperstore.com at an educators discount if you have proof of homeschooling. I used a copy of my HSLDA card for proof, but they will also accept a receipt from purchased curriculum as well. Hope this helps some of you. I can't wait to get my full copy of it. Oh, by the way you can download a 7 day trial at smartdraw.com. The program is also useful for other activities as well. You can use it to make all kinds of presentations, house drawings, etc.
