Writing goals Week 1

This may sound like a really dumb question, but I'll take that risk. We are first time users of Tapestry, and we love it. My question is about the writing assignment for week 1, year 1. With you teacher's guidance, write goals for improving your writing this year.

There are so many to choose from - where do I start? My daughter is doing level 7, but, again, this is the first time using Tapestry. There are so many areas of improvement - what's a good place to start?

Hi Julie,
For a level 7 newcomer to Tapestry, I'd suggest just 3-4 goals. We typically put these types of goals:

*Improve depth of prewriting.
*Be willing to do more research.
*Use sentence variety.
*Improve legibility of prewriting so that I can read my work to type it up.
