View Full Version : different definitions for different years?

I'm wondering how to deal with the fact that my sons memorized literature definitions for year 1, and now some of the same words for year 3 have different definitions. (Two of my kids skipped year 2 to take a class, so I don't know whether the terms in year 2 are the same as year 1 or 3).
Thanks!

Hmmm... well, unfortunately, the definitions DO change a little over time. That's something we're working on fixing, but the revisions aren't done yet. :-/ What I'd do, Bonnie, is just have him stick with the first definition he memorizes. The good news is that the definitions from Y3 to Y4 are pretty consistent, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem. But as a general rule, I'd say just let him stick with the first definition he memorizes and don't make him memorize a new one!

Hope that helps---please let me know if you have more questions on it!
