Hi everyone, I am involved in a new co-op here in PA and today was our first meeting. We had 5 sessions, 1st being Bible, 2nd Spelling/Vocabulary, 3rd Lapbooks, 4th Arts/Crafts and 5th Drama. We have 15 children ranging from age 2 to 9th grade in the co-op. So when the older children are doing spelling/voc. class I am doing a storytime for the youngest. I found that subscribing to www.daniellsplace.com (http://www.daniellsplace.com) was a huge benefit for this planning. Today we talked about Moses and we made a quail out of paper plate from that site and during lapbook time the younger children made a pic. of Moses with him stretching out his staff and his arm moved by fastening it with a brass fastener. Macaroni was glued on to his beard. This kept them in the room while we did 3 sections of the lapbook but gave the youngest who didn't want to or weren't able to do the writing something to do that was still related. The $25 to join that site is well worth it. There are lessons there we'll do on God Created Me (a booklet) and the Tower of Babel dolls on craft sticks. So it'd be a nice addition to even do at home to keep your younger kids focused as well.

Macaroni beard -- that is a great idea. Maybe we can use that for hair for some Greek figures! Thanks!
