How often are younger children admitted to the online courses?

I see on the website that there are provisions for younger children to apply for admission to the online classes, but how often does it happen? I'm trying to think about next year. I have a son who would be 50 days (or so) from turning 12 on the cutoff date, but is already working at the level he would need to be for the classes. So, has anyone gotten their soon to be 12 year old into these classes?

We have allowed a few instances of mature, younger students into the LLC classes, but we don't encourage it. If you have a mature student that you think will fit into a discussion class with older peers, then go ahead and email me closer to registration to ask for an exception.
