We are hoping to do a unit 2 celebration in December with our Tapestry class group and I'd really love to do a condensed version of one of these key WW2 figures (Corrie Ten Boom or Anne Frank). I know both are available in play or some drama form (well, not certain on Ten Boom) but would love to just get an abbreviated version that my class kids can work on for the whole 9 weeks and we can perform in Dec. Anyone know of a good piece or even how to break down the originals easily and what it takes? I'm not looking for a paid performance for the public, just for the parents/family/friends, so no huge set or anything too elaborate. 15-25 minutes max would be ideal. We are working on memorization, and public speaking together along with our reading materials in all TOG subjects so thought this would be an excellent cap to our studies. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
April W.

Hello April!
My name is April, also! I think your idea of doing a drama version of Hiding Place or Anne Frank is great. I don't know of any print versions of play for young students to perform, but I did want to suggest that you listen to Focus on the Family's Radio Theater version of The Hiding Place. It is excellent! I would suggest that you listen yourself to make sure it is not too intense for your students, and maybe you would be inspired to pick a couple of scenes from Corrie's life to act out. I hope you find an actual script you can use or adapt!
Blessings,
April

I found this as the first item when I did a Google search on "Corrie ten Boom play"
