Any easy place to look for all these invention research ideas? I tried looking for just one and there is a lot to wade through on the internet. Suggestions?

I'm looking to understand the invention project better. Is it a type of lapbook, or just a record the kids make about inventions?

    Hi Karen,
Instructions and ideas for the invention project are detailed in the Student Activity Pages (p. 13) of Week 1. Feel free to choose amongst those ideas, or come up with your own. Nearly every week, a chronological list of inventions is provided in the Student Activity Pages so that the student can continue to carry out his project.

    Hope this helps!

I bought a cheap, but decent sketch book for my son this year. He picks out 2 or 3 inventions from each week and either draws a picture of it, or finds something on internet and then writes a brief description.

I'm having my grammar kids do a simple display board. We divided the display board into 100 chunks and marked one year in each chunk. Then they glue pictures of the inventions with simple captions into the appropriate year box. They do like the ones having something to do with junk food ("Mom, what's CheezeWiz?"), games ("Wow, Scrabble was around even before YOU were born, Mom!"), and comics ("Dennis the Menace is a lot older than he looks.").
