    Just wondering...why is this recommended for week 8? Seems like it takes place later in the century doesn't it? Thanks!

    The plot of Singing in the Rain has to do with the transition from silent movies to "talkies," which fits in with the late '20s.

    Thanks! I hadn't realized talkies came so early in the century. Looking forward to watching this...I feel like the only one on the planet that hasn't seen it, besides my kids, of course. HA!
