Can anyone recommend a koine greek program for my grammar student? i am considering this instead of latin.

I use "Hey, Andrew! Teach me some Greek" from http://www.greeknstuff.com/ It is a very gentle curriculum you can use from K onwards. The first book teaches the Greek alphabet over a year. Of course if you had an older child you could go through the book much quicker or start at a higher level. There are sample pages on the website and she has a facebook page where people post questions about the curriculum.
