Week 1: Terms Index (Appendix B) of Poetics

In Week 1, p. 23, students are instructed to "see the directions at the beginning of the Terms Index of Poetics about making cards for a list of basic vocabulary terms." I don't see a Terms Index (Appendix B) in Poetics. Are the students supposed to make cards this week or not?

Hi Susan! As you probably noticed, we have had big red warnings up asking people not to print Poetics because it isn't all posted yet. Appendix B was one of the sections that wasn't posted. However, it is finished and will be going up (along with most of the rest of the Poetics material) tomorrow morning (Monday). I hope this answers your concern. :-) Thanks for checking in!

The instructions on p.23 are still confusing. It sounds as if there should be instructions for how to make the cards. However, when I go to the Appendix B in Poetics, there are no instructions. I am assuming you are wanting them to make a "flashcard" by writing the word on one side and the definition on the back. I am also making the assumption that they are to do this with only the "Basic Terms List" for this week. Is this correct?

Hi Daphne! Yes, I think you've found a genuine typo. Sorry about that (:0/), but thank you for pointing it out! There are no special directions for the basic terms list of Appendix B---your student should just make flashcards for them as you said, and yes, just that basic terms list for Week 1. :-)

Since I can't change what your printed version says, I will go ahead and insert into Poetics instructions to that effect. Basically, however, you nailed it in one!
