Thread: King Arthur question

  1. #1
My kids read Tales of King Arthur. My ds was confused about how Arthur died because if he had Excalibar he couldn't be killed. But he was killed after the last great battle. Did he die because he didn't have Excalibar with him? It seems unlikely that a warrior-leader wouldn't have his weapon. It seems incongruent that he would be killed when Excalibar was supposed to keep him alive.

    What am I missing?

    Hi,
Possession of Excalibar "granted" the person to be rightful sovereign of Great Britain. To the best of my knowledge, it did not also give him the magical powers to never die.

Hopefully this will clear it up for you. If not, feel free to let me know and we'll figure it out!
