I noticed that the Music book for Y2 Rhetoric level has just gone out of print. There are still plenty of used copies around. But which book is best, the Roger Camien book or the Jan Swafford book? Marcia? Opinion?

Hi,
I personally prefer the new book by Jan Swafford (Vintage Guide to Classical Music) over the Kamien textbook. The biographies of composers are more thorough and interesting and it is more of a "living book" than a text.
Bookshelf Central is currently searching out music CDs that will be optional but helpful to listen to (at any learning level) that have the composers' music.

"Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew,
like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.
I will proclaim the name of the Lord. Oh, praise the greatness of our God!"
Deut. 32:2-4
Thanks Dana. I thought it sounded really good, but I wanted to be sure before I purchased one.
