My name is Lesley. I am a mother of 4 DC. 10yr old DD, 6yr old DS, 3yr old DD, 5 month old DD.

    I Am prayerfully considering TOG.

Am discouraged because I have tried so many different things for our homeschooling that I thought would be 'the thing', but we have yet to have found the backbone for our studies.
TOG seems to have the major components to what I have been searching for... I am waiting to see the provision of the Lord as a confirmation of whether or not we will be 'toggers'.

    Any comments are welcome.

    Lesley,

Welcome. We also have 4 children: 13 yr old DD, 11 yr old DS, 8 yr old DS, 4 yr old DD. Although I don't believe that any one curriculum fits all families, TOG has been the perfect fit for our family. I am praying for you as I type.

    Blessings,
    Susan

    Leslie,

I completely relate to your post. Especially the "discouraged" part. Last year I was sure I could not do this anymore...It was just too hard and nothing was really "working." I am also considering TOG because I love history and I really want my kids to learn how to think and write well. I feel completely inadequate and get overwhelmed easily. I'm not sure if it would work or not. Seems like most of the people on these boards are very organized type people. I am not.... Wish I was though. I want to be. Anyway, just wanted you to know that there is someone out there who is feeling the same way.

    God Bless You,
    Renee

    Dear Lesley,

It's a good thing to prayerfully consider! I will be praying for you, too. If it would help to talk with someone by phone, I'd be glad to talk with you. We can exchange phone numbers by email if you'd like. My email is liz_bennett@wycliffe.org.

I'd also be very happy to email back and forth with dialog about how Tapestry has fit into our family these past 5 years.
