Thread: Crime and Punishment

  1. #1
I just wanted to say that my daughter and I have loved reading and discussing Crime and Punishment this year. We had already read a few of the assigned books this year, and some that we really wanted to do were not included, so we did a lot of our own thing, but I really wanted to include the Russian literature. It has been the best Tapestry literature discussion we've had in the two years we've been doing it! Sometimes the discussion doesn't go in the direction we want to go, and my daughter often argues about answering questions she feels are not addressing what is important about a book, but Crime and Punishment has just been exceptional. I even easily convinced her to write her last literature paper on Crime and Punishment. Convincing her to write any paper is like banging my head against the wall. (She's good at them, she just never wants to do them.)
This is the last year I'll be doing literature with her, and this is almost the last thing we're discussing, so thank you for a wonderful experience that we both loved.
