Hi,
It's on the Loom under "Literature Helps" (first section).

Dana,
Thank you for your quick reply. I think this is an instance where the newer version of TOG has more documents available than the older revised version. I was asking the question as some of my co-op students were assigned that document in either their reading assignment pages ( yellow pages) or student activity pages and did not know where to locate the document , but my version did not list it as an assignment nor could I find it in my Loom documents
(original revised version). It is also not a document located on my DE version of Y1 or Y4 Loom.
It's becoming increasing difficult to teach co-op where students have different assignments and questions because they have different versions of TOG. I know you earlier asked me to write you and email ( and I intend to do so when I can find free time), but is there any reason families that own TOG can't have access to current Loom documents? Just that one concession on the part of Lampstand Press would make life easier for co-op teachers and families involved in co-op. Either that or print the documents into a book we can purchase. All but one of our TOG families own more than one year plan.
In closing let me say, that I love TOG and what it offers my children in a co-op setting. I love teaching rhetoric students in both history and literature. I love seeing the light bulb come on when a student makes a connection. When I found TOG 8 years ago, I thought- I can do high school and I can do it well ( thanks to TOG). But if the beginning of this year is any indication of what teaching TOG will be like in future years as you continue editing and revising TOG ( to make a better product ) and families have different versions that need to be meshed together, I'm not sure I have the time or the energy to make it work. And that truly does sadden me.
Thank you for all you have done for TOG. We thank God for you and the Sommerville family often as we meet as a co-op.

Hi Dawn,
Purchasing DE is, of course, the best way to go in terms of having access to the newest documents. That said, Year 1 doesn't currently reference Poetics or Literary Criticism, so it can't be found anyway. It should however, be on your Y4 DE.
Yes, we understand about the difficulties that co-ops face because not all co-op families have the same format of a year-plan. We are praying that before next school year we will have the time to really expand our "Community" (see tab in navigation bar) section about co-ops with lots of specific helps such as you've mentioned.
We are also working toward consolidating all of the Poetics and Frameworks so that it's the same for all year-plans. This is a task in progress and we are working hard toward getting this ready for you!
Thanks for sharing, and again, do feel free to email me!
Blessings,

Dana, I've been reading along about this here and in some other threads.
One thing that would help my co-op come mid winter (Jan-March) would be to have some place that clearly shows the difference in various editions of each Year (but for us especially year 2).
We are a small co-op of only 3 families so it may make more sense for members who don't own year 2 to buy a used copy to match what I, the old timer have (a print edition). However, since I'm probably the Rhetoric lit teacher maybe it would make more sense for me to upgrade, but without a place to see the difference, it's hard to tell.
Pat,
We are going to be providing that very thing if all goes as planned for us this winter. We are aware of the difficulties of using various versions, and this service is high on our priority stack for the coming selling season. Please pray for us, as always, that our efforts will yield fruit in season! Thanks for your ongoing support and suggestions! Keep 'em comin'.
Blessings,
Marcia
