I read that we'll need a "headset with noise cancellation" for the LLC class. What exactly is that? We have headphones and also a microphone we use for voice recordings at our computer. Is this sufficient? Is there a way to test our technology before class begins? I'd hate for my son to miss the first class because our stuff didn't work.

Hi Tracey,
the best set up to use is a headset with the mic attached. Many times a mic that is separate will pick up noises from the room and possibly even cause an echo when your student is speaking. When the headphones and mic are all one unit the sound is better not only for your student but also for everyone else in the class. You can buy these headsets at any electronics store, for about $15 and up.
