Trouble printing pages off LOOM

Hello,

We are setting up Year 1 Unit 1 and are having trouble printing a few pages from the LOOM. We get a message saying we are unable to print pages such as the History Response Pages, but there have been others and it appears to be fairly random as most pages print without any problems. Is anyone else encountering this? Is there a way around this problem? Thanks.

What is the exact error message? It seems strange that you can print some documents and not others.

Hi Ray,

The error message that comes up says "The document could not be printed". When I click OK another message comes up that says "There were no pages selected to print." The problem is that I had selected pages just as with all the other ones I've already printed out. I've tried printing all even if I didn't' want all the pages in that particular document, tried selecting one page at a time to be clear that a page was selected but still get the same message. And again, it is only for a few documents that I have tried.

I suppose I could copy & paste into a word document but that seems like extra work for something that shouldn't be a problem.

Hi again Ray,

I worked out a solution...

The copy & paste idea didn't work because some of the graphics wouldn't copy properly, or at all.

BUT, I saved the document to my desktop then opened it with a different program - the default had been Acrobat, I used Preview instead. I was then able to print it out, selecting which pages I wanted. It requires extra steps but it works!

Hopefully it will only be a few documents that require this process. I'm still not sure why Acrobat doesn't like a select few for printing - maybe the graphics used in the document? - but at least now I'm able to print what I want from the LOOM.
