Thread: John Admas HBO Miniseries

Has anyone previewed the John Admas HBO Miniseries that has recently been released on DVD? Any content warnings? I am interested in showing it to my 12 and 15 yo students and think it could be a good bridge between yr 2 and 3? Thanks for any insight!

I watched it when it was being shown on HBO. It was an excellent depiction of that time period. However. . .in the second installment (I am pretty sure, either 1st or 2nd) there was full frontal male nudity briefly during a scene when they were tarring and feathering a man. Language wasn't bad. . .oh, and then in a later installment, when Adams is in France, there is a strongly suggestive scene of marital relations, between John and Abigail. That is all I can recall at the moment. It is definitely for mature audiences, although if you preview it, you could skip the offensive scenes easily without losing any meaning.

I know I purchased the DVDs and plan to show it to my four, doing just that.
