I getting ready to purchase Year 1-redesign. I am really excited and apprehensive all at the same time. I would love to connect in the real world with someone who uses this. I was able to meet a woman this past weekend who told me TOG is 'Life-Changing'! She said she has learned SO much. I don't know why I am stalling...

Hi Bridget,
I had decided to wait but....a woman from our church just told me she is using TOG. Thank you Lord! She is going to let me look at it and then I can decide if I want to plunge in now.
I'm from Grant County.

Our church just hired a new pastor from Minnesota. He and his wife brought the Tapestry program with them. It sounds great because it's a one stop shop for so many subject areas. You can teach reading, language, art, and history/social studies with one program. I'm looking at it this summer. I'll probably use Drawn Into the Heart of Reading with it.

Hello Farmwife !
We completed Year 1 Redesigned (our first year with TOG) and am ready to start Year 2 Redesigned in August. I agree.... it is life-changing ! Although we are just entering our third year of homeschooling and had only homeschooled one year prior to "diving into" TOG I cannot say enough good about this curriculum. It is absolutely amazing. My dd UG student will be entering 5th grade this year and ended the year with history being her favorite subject. I love that geography, bible, and writing are incorporated into this program. History literally "came alive" for us this year. The activities included are so great for cementing the different periods and cultures being studied. The Old Testement made so much more sense for me. I enjoyed learning right along with her.
I was terrified to use Tapestry and definitely experienced the "four week fog" talked about. I am so glad we stuck with it and can't imagine using anything else. My daughter will cycle through the program twice and I look forward to delving deeper as she matures.

Hey Newbie, I'm another newbie from Kenosha, WI. I am actually a second year homeschooler (first year with T.O.G) with 3 boys all in lower grammer! We started our year just this week. I procrastinated buying Tapestry, so I just got it in about 3 weeks ago and went on vacation the day it got here and we were gone for a week, then I had about two weeks to READ and prepare. I am really glad I made the decision to purchase, it is so great to have a bigger focus on how God works(ed), I do feel that it was led to me. Thank God for my friends that use T.O.G they are in year 2,3, and 4, it sure does help!

hi! I am thinking about TOG--we have used sonlight in the past two years. We have been homeschooling for several years but ialso feel "out of control" with the amount of reading with sonlight. I also want something that is more suited for different age levels (5 yr old twins, 8 yr old 10 yr old) Iam thinking about ordering soon and then spending a month or two to get organized and then starting inNov.--anyone start in the middle of the year? HOw much prep work should i expect? I am in madison, by the way! Any other madison people? Looking forward to hearing how others are doing
