Writing Aids, Rhetoric, and English Credit

Hi-Can anyone help me understand something I've been looking over regarding rhetoric literature for high school and the writing portion of the credit. If you plan to do an English credit and you use the "trimming and cutting" that is recommended on the chart, but you ad back in 30 weeks of grade level writing assignments from Writing Aids, then what else will your student need to do for an Honors English credit? By the way is it 30 weeks or 32? And does the Honors English credit account for all recommended papers for year 1 for rhetoric, or which there are three?

    Thank you.

    Hi,
You'll need 30 weeks of Writing Assignments and completion of ALL of the literature assignments (if you aren't doing Grammar also). If you are doing Grammar, you can pare down the Literature some though. The amount you can pare down will technically depend on how lengthy the Grammar assignments are. If you take out one assignment of Literature, you'll want to replace it with one of Grammar of equal length.

Clear as mud? Hope this helps though!
