If you are considering The Latin Road but your child has not done The Phonics Road, you can use this program to bridge over to the full-on Latin program, The Latin Road to English Grammar. I completed this with my 3rd and 5th graders. It's a different way to do grammar which we really liked. Review is over in a couple months and then new concepts begin. Lots of POS identification, diagramming, and sentence work, plus an introduction to some common Latin prefixes, roots, and suffixes. Since this program also included writing dictated sentences, I was able to incorporate several of the language arts into one block: handwriting, spelling, grammar, vocabulary.

I have the Teacher's Guide with DVD's, cut and laminated designing cards, and verb memory game (new) for $75. You just need to purchase a student book for your child.
