I just discovered this very interactive site, especially helpful to auditory and visual learners, allowing them to see sights and hear sounds from New York City in the Twenties.

It was a little tricky to learn to navigate. Some links on the "sound" page just show a list of noise complaints by other residents; others feature a video link or sound file, or else a scanned copy of an original document from the period.

I appreciated that the "space" page overlaid a period map with the places where the sights and sounds were recorded, so one could study Central Park, or Lower Manhattan, for example.

I can't wait to get to Year 4 year after next, having an auditory learner. I hope the site will be around by then!
