We are going to create a timeline for the first time this fall and I would love to see some examples. Are there any posted on a blog somewhere?

Mom to Seth (15), Rebecca (13), Thaddeus (11), Matthew (8), David (6), Noah (3) and Kirsten Ruth (born 5/16)

What year are you on? We're doing year 4 and I was thinking of doing the same thing! I have a wall in my kitchen that is magnetized and I was thinking about purchasing a long roll of paper and dividing it into years. Each week I would have the kids add something to it that is important and/or interests them. I do also own the "Homeschool in the Woods" CD-Rom that has timeline pictures so we may print some of those out as well as they give a really nice visual. I would love for them to do an individual timeline to have for their notebooks, but somehow I think having the visual for the whole family up all of the time might actually help us to refer to it and use it more!

Another idea would be to use an 8 1/2 X 11 or 11 X 14 sheet of paper for each decade and then place each side by side. That might be easier to manage and hold up better, too!

We have some excellent timeline resources and examples on our supporting links! Go to the year-plan page that you need and look under History and then the General tab. You will see links listed for each year-plan but Year 2. I will work on including those to Year 2 this fall during our updates.

    I hope this information helps!
