    DE displays fuzzy?

    Hi there,
I recently downloaded DE onto my computer and my ipad. It displays beautifully on my iPad but is fuzzy (for the lack of a better word) (the font just isn't crisp) on my laptop. Is this normal? It really makes it difficult to read on my computer and is hard on my eyes. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks!!

    Hi,

The first thing that I thought of was your monitor. Sometimes as monitors age the resolution gets worse. Does everything else that you look at seem to be ok? Is it only the curriculum that isn't clear? You could do a Google search to see how to fix a blurry computer screen. There are a lot of helpful links on that topic. Another thing you may want to try is to set the zoom level (how large or how small the page is that you are looking at) to one of the preset levels. Ex. 100%, 75%, 50%, etc.

It's not my computer, it's not my monitor. It's Tapestry. Everything is clear for all other programs. It's the Tapestry documents that are not crisp.

    Hi,

I have talked with my manager and he suggests that you try to re-download the curriculum again to see if this helps resolve your problem. We have not had a a report of this problem from any of our other customers. We have pulled the curriculum up on 3 different computers, a Mac, and a laptop and they all look the same. They are clear. Have you looked at any other .pdfs on your computer or have then all been web pages from the internet? Have you tried to print a page and is the curriculum clear when printed? I will say that images do look much sharper on iPad due to the resolution on them. You could also try to see if there is a new version of Lock Lizard and try to update it. You are usually prompted to do this when a document first loads in Lock Lizard. Please let me know if any of these new solutions helps fix the problem. I look forward to hearing from you.

    Hi Sharon,
Thanks for getting back to me. I've been using this computer for over a year (2 years, I think) and I've never had trouble viewing pdfs. With Locklizard open "Locklizard Safeguard secure viewer" is perfectly clear with everything below "File, View, Document, Help, etc" fuzzy-ish. I can try re-downloading Locklizard and my year plan and see if it improves. I'm willing to send you a screen shot of what it looks like with a Tapestry document open but didn't want to post anything here publicly.

    Thanks,
    S

Yes, it's definitely Locklizard. Everything for Tapestry is crystal clear until I open a document within Locklizard. It was interesting to note that even in the setup stages, the resolution wasn't great. But on the plus side, everything prints beautifully! I'll just have to deal with it. I like paper better anyway.

    Hi,

I'm so thankful that your copy is printing well for you and that you can access it and read it from your iPad. I have added your problem to our list of customer problems and concerns. This is something we will revisit when we do our next global updates in the fall and winter of 2017-2018. Thank you for your kindness and understanding. It was a joy talking with you.
