Do you ever take suggestions for books as you are redesigning???
I just wanted to see if it was possible to add Francis Shaeffer's book "How Should We Then Live" or even the CD/Video series..even if it's on the alternate page. It would be lovely to know when to add this in to our studies.

    Hi Deb,
Yes, we definitely take suggestions! Send to me at Dana@TapestryofGrace.com as it's my duty to review and choose books.

My husband teaches a church history class in a ministry school and has always incorporated Schaffer's How Should We Then Live dvd...We started in Year 2 and at Co-op, we took the video series and as we hit each section, we watched and discussed the time period in the Rhetoric co-op class and my husband led the discussion. we continued thru Year 3, though obviously not as many clips to watch. We will do this thru Year 4 this coming school year. It allowed us to utilize this wonderful series along with our other church history/worldview materials.

Oh, boy -- if you're interested in Worldview suggestions, a fabulous choice would be Nancy Pearcey's amazing book Total Truth. Pearcey was with the Schaeffers at L'Abri, and her work reflects his views. Parts of Total Truth could work well at the rhetoric level, but it's also a superb resource for parents who want a safe passage and wise guide through the murky waters of 20th century philosophy. Why is the modern evangelical church the way it is today? Why is Christianity so marginalized in popular culture? Pearcey ably and engagingly explains how we got here and presents strategies for change.

Here's a link for testimonials and reviews of the book: http://www.crossway.org/sites/total.truth/media/
