Thread: Math U See for high school

  1. #1
Does anyone know of students who used Math U See and consequently struggled in college math courses? We are intrigued by the curriculum, but after obtaining an engineering degree, I am curious how MUS stacks up in the upper levels.

My sons used all of the high school Math U See courses...two of them did fine in college math. My youngest son though was then was tutored in full-blown calculus after finishing the last MUS book. He then received a math scholarship to his choice of college and is majoring in math there.

That said, I do recommend to folks that you pick a math program and stick with it. Every curricula has things that it excels in and things that it does not. What matters is that a person hasn't jumped from one curricula to another, therefore missing something foundational that might be taught in a different order elsewhere. (Probably true of nearly any subject)

    Hope this helps!
