When Year 4 Unit 3 is released, we will introduce a new system for installing Tapestry DE products for Mac.

Instead of the two pages of instructions the process will be a lot easier.

It will still involve downloading a .dmg file. Inside the .dmg will be a readme.pdf file and a .pkg file. The .pkg file will:

? copy the files to the /Applications/Tapestry of Grace directory on your hard drive; and

? (for the Interfaces) create a desktop alias with the Tapestry logo--color-coded by year-plan.[/list]

No more manually copying files from one place to another and manually copying image files to create desktop aliases!

NOTE: On that day, we will be releasing new installers for Years 1, 2, and 4 (and possibly 3 if it's finished in time). If you have already installed Years 1 and/or 2, you do not need to re-install it/them. The new installers will have the same content, just a different delivery system.

    Thanks for the encouragement, Karen.

We were VERY excited when we realized how much easier the Mac installation process had become.

By the way, we're working on updating the installers for Years 1 to 3 and expect to have them up in the next few days.
