We purchased A Gift of Music for Y3 last year - the copy I bought (used on Amazon) didn't present any problems with chapters, pg. numbers, etc. This year, however, my D level DS just pointed out that our copy doesn't have the chapter numbers for last week or this week's assignments for Y4 (ch. 26,36 for wk.1 and 25 for wk.2). Aargh. Did I get a too-old copy? Is it that big of a deal that I need to purchase the correct edition for Y4, when he's already busy enough with everything else (we added Writing Aids this year)?

    Thanks, Laurie

Our copy has the correct chapter numbers and artists; it says Third Edition, copyright 1995. If it helps any, Chapter 26 is about Debussy, the second part of Chapter 36 is about Albeniz, and Chapter 25 is about Mahler.

You could probably read about these musicians in an encyclopedia or a library book or online if you want him to do the fine arts thread and don't want to buy an updated copy. The Threads at the beginning of each week plan tell you who to read about.

This would be a simple book to match up on. Just check the threads to find out which composer(s) are covered in the week.
