Fix for Year 3

The Teacher's Notes are printed back to back (2 sided) such that the sidebars are on the outsides of a 2-page spread. They are printed on white paper.

The Weekly Overview and Reading Assignment Charts are viewed as one, integrated document in the actual curriculum. The first page of this Reading Charts file is printed, then the two pages of the Weekly Overview (so as to form a 2-page spread) and then the text book charts (second page of the Reading Charts file) is printed on the back of page 2 of the Weekly Overview. This four-page section is printed on yellow paper.

The Student Activity Pages are printed back to back (2 sided) and on blue paper. There is repetition between the levels because they are designed such that, should you so desire, you could photocopy all of a student's learning-level pages to create a workbook for the year, and the information would be self-contained; nothing within a given learning level would never refer to other sections of the Student Activity Pages. Note, too, that in the actual curriculum, symbols are associated with learning levels in this section to help parents and students better find their sections. The .pdf writer objects to those symbols, so they've been removed.

The Pageant of Philosophy is a gentle, somewhat humorous presentation of the basic thoughts and ideas of the most influential philosophers of Western Civilization. Scott Somerville has created a short script to be read aloud by parent and child in which a young man, Simplicio, who is wandering through life looking for truth. Many weeks, he encounters famous philosophers and asks them for their opinions on truth. Bolded sections of the script are direct quotes taken from the philosopher's writings. Frequently, more than one week is taken to explore a major philosopher. They are printed on gray paper, two sided. The Pageant was first integrated into Year 3. It will be included in Years 1 and 4 in 2003, and integrated into Year 2 in a new edition to be published in 2004. (Customers who purchase Year 2 before the revision will have the opportunity to purchase Year 2 Pageant pages separately at a very reasonable fee.
